Job description

HopeBridge Foundation is seeking a dynamic Development Manager to lead our major gifts program and cultivate strategic partnerships in the New York City area. This full-time role offers the opportunity to shape a passionate team and drive impact across our programs serving communities in need.

As Development Manager, you will steward a portfolio of key donors, collaborate with program teams, and translate our mission into compelling fundraising strategies that support sustainable growth.

Responsibility

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy to secure major gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations.
  • Manage the donor pipeline, ensure timely acknowledgments, and implement thoughtful stewardship to deepen donor relationships.
  • Lead grant writing and reporting processes to ensure funder compliance and successful renewals.
  • Plan and execute high-impact fundraising campaigns and events in collaboration with internal teams and volunteers.
  • Cultivate strategic corporate partnerships, sponsorships, and cause-related marketing opportunities.
  • Collaborate with program, marketing, and finance teams to align fundraising with organizational impact and budgets.
  • Track metrics, prepare reports for leadership and the board, and adjust strategies based on data-driven insights.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive fundraising experience, including major gifts and donor relations.
  • Proven track record of securing six-figure gifts and building durable donor partnerships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong storytelling and proposal development skills.
  • Experience with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) and fundraising analytics.
  • Strong project management, event planning, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to travel as needed and work occasional evenings or weekends.
