Harborview University Library invites applications for the position of Digital Resources Librarian. This full-time role advances our growing digital collections, enhances discovery, and supports researchers across disciplines. The successful candidate will steward metadata, coordinate digitization workflows, and collaborate with faculty, students, and external partners.

Responsibility
- Lead the ingestion, organization, and access to digital collections, ensuring accurate metadata and compliant access controls.
- Develop and apply metadata schemas (for example Dublin Core, MODS) and map metadata to discovery systems.
- Collaborate with librarians, faculty, and IT staff to plan digitization projects and preserve institutional memory.
- Support discovery and access through digital repository platforms and integrated library systems.
- Design assessment measures and produce reports to inform collection development and open access initiatives.
- Provide user instruction and outreach on digital resources and research data management best practices.
Qualification
- MLIS or equivalent from an ALA-accredited program; relevant certifications in digital libraries are a plus.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of professional experience in an academic or research library setting focusing on digital resources and metadata.
- Strong knowledge of metadata standards (Dublin Core, MARC, MODS) and experience with digital asset management systems.
- Experience with repository platforms (for example Islandora, CONTENTdm, DSpace) and XML workflows is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams, manage projects, and communicate clearly with diverse users.
