Responsibility
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Operate and monitor commercial dishwashing equipment, ensuring optimal performance and energy efficiency.
- Sort, wash, rinse, sanitize, and properly store dishes and kitchenware after use.
- Support kitchen staff during meal service by promptly providing clean tools and plates, and clearing dishes from tables and prep areas.
- Assist with basic food preparation and plating assistance as directed by supervisors, while maintaining hygiene practices.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, broken items, or safety hazards to the supervisor and help coordinate repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organized dish station, manage waste and recycling, and adhere to sanitation protocols.
- Adhere to all safety, hygiene, and company policies, including proper attire and personal protective equipment usage.
Qualification
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25-40 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness
- Team player with reliable and punctual work habits
- Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
- Willingness to learn and follow supervisor instructions in a fast paced environment
