Precision Installations is seeking a meticulous Document Controller to join our project team in Batam. In this contract role, you will steward the creation, organization, and distribution of technical documents, drawings, submittals, correspondence, and project records essential to successful delivery. You will liaise with project management, engineering, procurement, and site teams to ensure all documents are accurate, accessible, and compliant with contract requirements and company standards.
As a core member of the Administration and Project Support group, you will manage document workflows, implement version control, maintain audit trails, and support reporting on document deliverables and status. Your exceptional attention to detail and proactive communication will help reduce risk, prevent rework, and keep stakeholders informed about current project progress. This role offers exposure to structured processes, quality management practices, and the chance to contribute to large scale installations on an active site in Batam.
The role demands strong organizational discipline and a client-focused mindset within a fast paced construction environment. You will secure controlled copies, manage access permissions, and safeguard confidential information while maintaining a complete and accurate document register. You will also assist with audits, data quality checks, and weekly status updates to the project team.

Responsibility
- Establish and maintain the project document control system including drawing registers, correspondence logs, transmittals, submittals and change orders.
- Coordinate document reviews, obtain approvals, distribute controlled copies, and track receipt acknowledgments.
- Maintain accurate version control and complete audit trails in accordance with project requirements and relevant standards.
- Organize and index engineering drawings, specifications, requests for information, reports, and procurement records.
- Support project reporting, progress tracking, and document status dashboards for the management team.
- Ensure secure storage, confidentiality, and controlled access to sensitive information across office and site locations.
- Assist with onboarding of new users to the document control system and provide training on procedures.
Qualification
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in administration, engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience as a document controller, administration, or equivalent in construction or industrial projects.
- Proficiency with document control software or EDMS tools and strong MS Office skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication in Indonesian and English; ability to coordinate across cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of confidentiality, data protection, and project safety requirements; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
