LINACO, a leading manufacturer based in Batu Pahat, Johor, is seeking a results-driven Engineer to join our maintenance team. This role focuses on planning and scheduling equipment maintenance grounded in Total Productive Maintenance TPM principles, while preparing and managing annual maintenance budgets. The successful candidate will oversee hygiene and storage standards across the facility, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operations that support consistent product quality.
In this position, you will collaborate with production, quality, procurement, and maintenance colleagues to optimize uptime, reliability, and efficiency. You will leverage data and best practices to drive continuous improvement, contribute to capex and opex planning, and coach a culture of proactive maintenance. Responsibility
- Plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance for critical equipment in line with TPM guidelines to maximize asset uptime
- Develop and manage annual maintenance budgets, forecast spare parts, and monitor expenditure
- Coordinate with production, QA, and procurement to minimize downtime while ensuring safety and hygiene compliance
- Monitor equipment performance using CMMS or similar systems; analyze data to identify trends and implement reliability improvements
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for equipment failures with follow-up validation
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, storage, and cleanroom standards where applicable; maintain accurate maintenance records
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support TPM projects; mentor and train maintenance staff as needed
Qualification
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or a related field
- 2-4 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance or TPM environments
- Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance and CMMS usage
- Analytical mindset with ability to perform root cause analysis and data-driven decision making
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Familiarity with hygiene and storage practices in manufacturing settings and a commitment to safety
