GlobalLink Translations is seeking a skilled English to Spanish translator to join our dynamic localization team in New York. This role focuses on high-quality translation and cultural adaptation across marketing, technology, and media projects. As a translator, you will leverage CAT tools, maintain terminology consistency, and contribute to glossary development. You will work with client style guides, ensure compliance with industry standards, and uphold strict deadlines. Responsibility
- Translate and localize content from English to Spanish, preserving tone, voice, and branding across marketing, tech, and multimedia materials.
- Collaborate with project managers, editors, and linguists to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Develop and maintain glossaries and translation memories to improve efficiency and consistency.
- Perform quality assurance and linguistic review to meet client standards and deadlines.
- Adapt content for regional audiences, including terminology, date formats, and cultural references.
- Utilize CAT tools (e.g., Trados, MemoQ) and translation workflows to manage large-scale projects.
- Provide feedback to clients on glossaries and style guides to refine the localization process.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field.
- Native or near-native Spanish speaker with full professional proficiency in English.
- 3+ years of professional translation/localization experience, preferably in marketing and technology sectors.
- Proficiency with CAT tools such as Trados, MemoQ, or Across; strong memory management skills.
- Excellent editing, proofreading, and terminology management abilities.
- Experience creating and maintaining glossaries and style guides; strong research skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to cross-functional teams.
