We are seeking a Senior Translator to lead English-centric localization projects across software, marketing, and technical domains. In this role, you will collaborate with product, engineering, and localization teams to ensure high-quality translations, effective terminology management, and consistent style across all deliverables. You will also mentor junior translators and contribute to process improvements that accelerate delivery while preserving linguistic excellence.
Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end translation and localization of software, documentation, marketing materials, and legal content from English to target languages.
- Develop and maintain style guides, glossaries, and translation memories to ensure terminology consistency across projects.
- Plan, schedule, and manage localization workstreams, including vendor coordination when applicable.
- Review and edit translations for accuracy, tone, and compliance with client guidelines.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and UX teams to ensure in-product copy aligns with localization goals.
- Perform QA checks and provide linguistic feedback to improve quality and consistency.
- Mentor junior translators, provide training on CAT tools, and contribute to process improvements to increase efficiency.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional translation/localization experience, preferably in tech, software, or marketing content.
- Native-level English with proven ability to translate into at least one target language (French or Spanish preferred).
- Proficiency with CAT tools (SDL Trados Studio, MemoQ, Wordfast) and translation memory management.
- Strong editing, proofreading, and QA skills; exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent project management and communication skills; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Portfolio or samples demonstrating high-quality translations and localization work.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and adapt to changing priorities.
