Job description
GreenLeaf Solutions is seeking an experienced Environmental Management Specialist to lead and optimize environmental programs for public and private sector clients. This role combines regulatory compliance, sustainability strategy, and hands-on fieldwork to reduce environmental risk and improve operational performance.
You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, manage audits, and help clients navigate complex environmental laws while advancing ESG goals. This is a full-time position based in Seattle, WA, with hybrid work flexibility.
Responsibility
- Develop and implement environmental management plans and sustainability programs.
- Lead regulatory compliance activities (air, water, waste, hazardous materials) and permit applications.
- Conduct environmental risk assessments and incident investigations; implement corrective actions.
- Manage internal and external audits; prepare reports for regulatory agencies and clients.
- Monitor KPIs, track progress against ESG targets, and present insights to leadership.
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement with communities, clients, and regulators.
- Oversee data collection, management, and reporting using EHS software; support GIS data usage.
- Support training and awareness programs for staff on environmental practices.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field; master's preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in environmental management, compliance, or sustainability programs.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
- Experience with EHS management systems, audits, and reporting (ISO 14001, RCRA, Clean Air Act).
- Data analysis and reporting skills; proficiency with Excel, Power BI, or similar; GIS experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills; proven project management and cross-functional leadership.
- Certification such as CEM, ENV SP, or QEP preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
