Join Evergreen Nexus Environmental as a Senior Environmental Manager to lead our environmental programs and drive measurable, compliant, and sustainable outcomes across multiple projects in the Pacific Northwest.
We seek an accomplished professional who blends technical expertise with strategic leadership to advance EMS implementation, regulatory compliance, data-driven reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
What you will do is help shape our environmental strategy, mentor a growing team, and collaborate with operations, permitting, and sustainability teams to achieve ambitious environmental goals.
Responsibility
- Lead the design, deployment, and continuous improvement of the environmental management system in accordance with ISO 14001 standards.
- Ensure regulatory compliance across federal, state, and local environmental requirements and manage permits and inspections.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators for emissions, waste, water quality, and resource efficiency; prepare regular executive-level reports.
- Lead environmental due diligence and risk assessments for new projects and site expansions.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, corrective action plans, and training programs to sustain a compliant culture.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, and supply chain to embed sustainability into design and process optimization.
Qualification
- Bachelor or Master degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental management, EHS, or sustainability roles.
- Strong knowledge of EPA regulations and state/local permitting, with a focus on Washington state requirements.
- Experience achieving ISO 14001 certification or maintenance.
- Proven data analysis, reporting, and risk assessment capabilities with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership.
- Ability to travel 10-20% of the time and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
