GreenWave Solutions is seeking a proactive Environmental Manager to lead our environmental program across multiple sites in the Pacific Northwest. This role combines strategy and hands-on execution to advance sustainability, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation.
In this role you will collaborate with operations, EH&S, and corporate teams to develop and implement environmental policies, track performance, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Responsibility
- Lead development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the company's environmental management system (EMS) and sustainability initiatives across all sites.
- Coordinate regulatory permitting, reporting, audits, and intake of new environmental requirements to ensure compliance.
- Oversee air, water, waste, and chemical management programs; identify and mitigate environmental risks.
- Establish KPIs, collect and analyze environmental data, and prepare executive-level dashboards and reports.
- Partner with operations to integrate sustainability into processes, capital projects, and supplier management.
- Lead incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective action plans for environmental incidents.
- Advise leadership on regulatory changes and advocate for best practices in environmental stewardship.
- Mentor and develop junior staff, coordinate training, and promote a culture of safety and compliance.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred.
- 5+ years relevant experience in environmental management, compliance, or EHS in manufacturing or industrial settings.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations (EPA, CEQA/NEPA where applicable, Clean Water Act, RCRA, etc.).
- Proven track record designing, implementing, and auditing EMS and sustainability programs.
- Excellent data analysis and reporting skills; experience with environmental data management systems (e.g., EHS software, SAP, or similar).
- Effective stakeholder engagement, communication, and project management abilities.
- Professional certifications such as CEM, CSP, or PE are a plus.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to support field sites.
