EcoNova Solutions is seeking an experienced Environmental Program Manager to lead and scale our environmental management program across facilities in the New York metropolitan area. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on regulatory compliance, sustainability initiatives, and stakeholder engagement. You will partner with operations, health and safety, and finance to deliver measurable environmental performance across sites.
In this role you will develop, implement, and optimize programs related to waste management, air and water permits, chemical stewardship, energy and water use reduction, and pollution prevention. You will drive data-driven ESG reporting, ensure timely regulatory submissions, and mentor a team of environmental specialists.

Responsibility
- Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the companys environmental management program across multiple facilities.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with federal, state, and local environmental laws (e.g., EPA, DEP) and manage permits, reporting, and inspections.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators for emissions, waste reduction, water and energy use, and pollution prevention.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, corrective action plans, and remediation efforts.
- Lead ESG reporting, sustainability disclosures, and communication with executives, regulators, and community partners.
- Collaborate with operations, HSE, and supply chain to integrate environmental considerations into site operations and capital projects.
- Mentor and develop junior environmental staff; build a strong culture of environmental stewardship.
- Stay current on regulatory changes and industry best practices; provide strategic recommendations to leadership.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental management, with demonstrated program leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations and permitting processes.
- Experience with environmental data management, reporting (including ESG disclosures), and regulatory submissions.
- Project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including presentations to executives and regulators.
- Certified Environmental Manager (CEM), CSP, or similar credential preferred; willingness to pursue certification.
