Luminary Events, a premier experiential agency based in New York City, is looking for an Event Manager to join our dynamic team. You will lead end-to-end planning for corporate events, conferences, product launches, and high-profile galas. This role suits a proactive organizer who thrives in fast-paced environments and values meticulous execution.
In this role, you will partner with clients to define objectives, success metrics, and program scope. You will manage budgets, vendor sourcing, contract negotiations, and cost optimization while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities include creating comprehensive project plans, timelines, risk assessments, and on-site logistics management. You will coordinate with marketing, PR, and production teams to ensure cohesive brand experiences and seamless post-event reporting.
You will cultivate strong relationships with venues, vendors, sponsors, and partners to deliver exceptional experiences that exceed expectations.
Responsibility

- Partner with clients to define objectives, scope, budgets, and success metrics.
- Manage budgets, vendor sourcing, contract negotiations, and cost optimization.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, risk assessments, and contingency strategies.
- Oversee on-site logistics, staffing, AV/production, and sustainability considerations.
- Coordinate with marketing, PR, and creative teams for integrated event promotion and reporting.
- Build and maintain relationships with venues, vendors, sponsors, and partners.
- Ensure compliance with safety, accessibility, and insurance requirements, and manage post-event evaluation.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in event management, preferably in corporate settings.
- Track record of delivering events on time and within budget with measurable impact.
- Outstanding vendor negotiation, contract management, and vendor relationship skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency with event technology (Cvent, Eventbrite, social media integration) and CRM systems.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and crisis management capabilities.
- Willingness to travel as required (up to 25%).
