Responsibility
- Lead menu development and seasonal tasting menus that reflect current culinary trends while showcasing your creativity.
- Oversee all kitchen operations, including mise en place, line setup, food safety, and sanitation.
- Recruit, train, and mentor culinary staff; manage performance and career progression.
- Ensure consistent quality and artistic plating across all dishes and courses.
- Collaborate with front of house to optimize service flow and guest experience.
- Control food costs, manage inventory, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure quality and value.
- Maintain HACCP, ServSafe standards, and rigorous health and safety compliance.
Qualification
- Minimum 8 years experience in culinary leadership roles, preferably in fine dining or luxury hospitality.
- Formal culinary degree or equivalent professional training from an accredited institution.
- Strong expertise in menu engineering, recipe costing, and inventory management.
- Proven leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate diverse staff.
- Excellent palate, creativity, and high standards for presentation and quality.
- Proficient in food safety, HACCP and ServSafe certifications; ability to train staff to meet standards.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and peak service periods.
