Be the driving force behind accurate demand planning for a leading FMCG brand. MAMEE is looking for an Executive, Demand Planning in Subang Jaya, Malaysia to join a fast paced, high impact supply chain team. In this role you will partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Operations to shape demand forecasts, optimize inventory, and improve overall supply chain efficiency across our core product categories. Your work will directly influence service levels, working capital, and product availability across markets.
You will own the monthly and weekly forecasting process, develop scenario plans, and lead S&OP discussions with cross functional partners. Your data driven insights will help shape production planning, capacity allocation, and promotional strategies while protecting customer service and cash flow. Responsibility
- Lead the monthly and weekly demand planning process for assigned product categories, ensuring alignment with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain teams.
- Develop and maintain statistical forecast models and scenario planning to improve forecast accuracy and reduce bias.
- Manage inventory targets, safety stock, and service levels to minimize stockouts and excess inventory while supporting capacity planning.
- Monitor and report KPI metrics such as MAPE, forecast bias, and inventory turns; present actionable insights to stakeholders via dashboards.
- Collaborate with cross functional partners to drive the S&OP process, including demand-supply reconciliation and consensus-building.
- Prepare management reports and dashboards; provide data driven recommendations for assortment, promotions, and capacity planning.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives in data quality, processes, and planning systems to enhance reliability and efficiency.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Analytics or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting or supply chain, preferably in FMCG or retail.
- Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel capabilities; experience with forecasting tools and ERP systems such as SAP IBP/APO, Oracle Demantra or similar.
- Proven ability to build and validate forecast models, conduct scenario planning, and translate data into actionable insights.
- Solid understanding of S&OP processes, inventory management, and capacity planning.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to influence cross-functional partners and present to leadership in English; Malay is a plus.
