Responsibility

  • Manage the entire lifecycle of spare parts inventory, including procurement, receipt, storage, issuance, and tracking for on-site customer requirements.
  • Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular stock checks to ensure optimal stock availability and minimize obsolescence and shortages.
  • Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to meet project timelines and client needs.
  • Compile and analyze inventory reports; provide recommendations for inventory optimization and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Implement and maintain best practices in stock management to support seamless operations and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Handle returns, defective items, and warranty claims efficiently with suppliers.
  • Utilize inventory management systems to keep accurate and updated records of spares movement.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in process automation and digitalization within the supply chain function.

Qualification

  • Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in inventory or spares management, preferably within the marine, engineering, or manufacturing sectors.
  • Proficient in MS Office and familiar with inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
  • Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with health, safety, and regulatory policies related to logistics and warehouse management.
  • Willing to be based on-site at Tuas, West Region.
