We are seeking a proactive Fine Arts Program Manager to lead curatorial projects, education initiatives, and community partnerships at our New York flagship venue. This role blends exhibition planning, educational impact, and donor relations to deliver transformative experiences for visitors and students alike.
As part of the leadership team, you will shape program strategy, manage budgets, and collaborate with artists, curators, educators, and local arts organizations to elevate our mission.
Responsibility
- Lead conception and execution of rotating exhibitions and site specific projects that engage diverse audiences.
- Develop and manage program budgets, timelines, and procurement for all events and exhibitions.
- Coordinate with curators, artists, educators and partners on content, interpretation, and accessibility needs.
- Oversee education programs including gallery talks, workshops, and school partnerships.
- Lead grant writing, reporting, and philanthropy outreach to secure funding for exhibitions and education.
- Curate promotional materials and coordinate media outreach to maximize attendance and impact.
- Ensure compliance with ethical standards and accessibility requirements for all programs.
- Mentor and supervise staff and interns, fostering a collaborative culture and professional development.
Qualification
- Bachelor degree in Fine Arts, Art History, Museum Studies, or related field; Master preferred.
- 3+ years in curatorial, education, or program management roles in arts organizations.
- Proven track record in project management, budget oversight, and donor relations.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Experience in grant writing and reporting; familiarity with databases and CRM systems.
- Knowledge of contemporary art practices and exhibition interpretation, including accessibility considerations.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as event schedules require.
- Collaborative mindset with strong problem solving and judgement.
