Responsibility
- Oversee daily gallery operations, admissions, staffing, and visitor experience to ensure a seamless program.
- Coordinate planning and execution of rotating exhibitions, openings, catalogs, and interpretive materials.
- Manage artist relations, loan negotiations, and artwork logistics from intake to de-installation.
- Collaborate with curators to develop exhibition concepts and installation strategies that align with the gallery’s program.
- Lead event planning for openings, artist talks, education programs, and community partnerships.
- Monitor budgets, track expenses, and optimize revenue through interpretive programming and shop sales.
- Oversee records, catalogs, and inventory in collaboration with registration and conservation teams.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Arts Administration, Fine Arts, History of Art, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 3–5 years in a gallery, museum, or arts organization with demonstrated exhibition support and audience development experience.
- Strong understanding of contemporary art practices, artist relations, and curatorial processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a track record of stakeholder engagement.
- Project management experience, including budgeting, scheduling, and vendor coordination.
- Proficiency in gallery management software, MS Office, and digital communications.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends for openings and events.
- Passion for equity, accessibility, and inclusive programming in the arts.
