Avant Garde Theatre Collective is a forward-thinking, nonprofit arts organization dedicated to bold, community-rooted performances. We are seeking a results-oriented Performing Arts Program Manager to lead program design, coordination, and production across NYC venues. This role blends artistic vision with operational excellence to broaden our impact and accessibility.

Responsibility
- Develop and manage the annual program calendar, ensuring high-quality artistic content and on-time delivery.
- Oversee budgeting, grant reporting, sponsorships, and revenue generation for programs and events.
- Coordinate artist recruitment, contracts, scheduling, and on-site production logistics.
- Collaborate with marketing and development teams to design compelling campaigns and audience engagement strategies.
- Foster community partnerships, education initiatives, and access programs for diverse audiences.
- Lead safety protocols, risk management, and compliance for performances and venues.
- Evaluate program outcomes using data, feedback, and KPIs to inform strategy and improvement.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Arts Administration, Theatre, Dance, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
- 3-5+ years of experience in performing arts program management or producing in a professional setting.
- Proven track record in budgeting, project management, and grant reporting.
- Strong network within NYC arts communities and familiarity with local venues and schools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; experience with fundraising and grant writing a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, work evenings/weekends as needed, and thrive in a collaborative team.
