Responsibility
- Design and implement scientific field studies on fish populations and aquatic habitats.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret biological and environmental data using modern laboratory techniques.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and present research findings to stakeholders and regulatory agencies.
- Develop and monitor conservation strategies to ensure sustainable fishery management.
- Collaborate with government, indigenous communities, and environmental organizations.
- Advise on the impact of human activities and climate change on marine ecosystems.
- Mentor research assistants and support public outreach and educational initiatives.
Qualification
- Master's degree in Fisheries Science, Marine Biology, or related field (PhD preferred).
- At least 3 years of hands-on fisheries research experience.
- Proficiency with statistical software and GIS/mapping tools.
- Demonstrated ability to write technical documents and scientific publications.
- Knowledge of federal and state fisheries regulations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for fieldwork.
