Join HarvestWave Foods, a leading innovator in sustainable snacks, as our next Food Production Quality Assurance Lead in Austin, TX. You’ll steward product safety, quality, and compliance across the manufacturing floor, partner with operations, R&D, and supply chain, and mentor QA technicians to uphold our premium standards.
As a strategic quality partner, you will own the development and maintenance of QA SOPs, drive continuous improvement, and ensure timely regulatory and customer compliance. What you’ll do and how you’ll impact our business:
Responsibility
- Lead daily QA activities ensuring HACCP, GMP, and company standards across all production lines.
- Develop, implement, and maintain QA SOPs, work procedures, and documentation for batch release.
- Review batch records, non-conformances, and deviations; authorize product releases within defined specs.
- Oversee internal and external audits; drive CAPA programs and corrective action tracking.
- Lead root cause analysis for quality incidents and implement measurable corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, R&D, and Supply Chain to optimize product quality and process controls.
- Train and mentor QA technicians; promote a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of QA experience in food manufacturing; leadership or people management is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, SQF/FSMA, and quality systems.
- Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data-driven decision making.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; flexible schedule including occasional evenings or weekends.
- HACCP certification or SQF Practitioner certification is a plus.
