Responsibility
- Lead the site Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with FDA, USDA, and applicable standards; ensure documentation, change control, and traceability.
- Develop, implement, and maintain HACCP plans, CCP monitoring, and allergen control programs across all production lines.
- Oversee supplier qualification, audits, and ongoing performance management for raw materials and packaging.
- Lead internal and external audits; drive CAPA programs to close gaps and prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with Operations and R&D to support new product introductions with robust quality gates and process verification.
- Manage product release, stability testing, complaint handling, and root cause investigation with data-driven problem solving.
- Mentor and develop QA staff; foster a culture of continuous improvement and safety awareness.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience in food manufacturing or packaging.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and food safety regulations; experience with ISO 22000 or SQF is a plus.
- Proven track record leading audits, CAPA, and supplier quality management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills; proficient with quality metrics and Excel/data tools.
- Strong communication and cross-functional leadership; ability to influence stakeholders and train teams.
- Willingness to travel up to 15-20% as needed and to work flexible hours to support production schedules.
