Job description

Golden Harvest Foods is seeking a skilled Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager to lead our quality program in San Francisco. You will champion HACCP, GMP, and ISO 22000 across production, packaging, and distribution, ensuring every batch meets the highest standards.

In this role, you will collaborate cross functionally with R&D, Operations, and Procurement to maintain product safety, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction. Responsibility

  • Lead the development and maintenance of HACCP, GMP, and ISO 22000 programs across all production lines.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, manage CAPA processes, and verify effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Partner with Manufacturing, QA, and Supply Chain to ensure safe, compliant materials from suppliers to finished goods.
  • Oversee QA testing, analytical methods, batch records, and product release decisions.
  • Analyze quality metrics, develop data driven improvements, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Design and deliver training on food safety, hygiene, and quality standards for site staff.
  • Maintain compliance documentation for regulatory bodies and customer audits; support recall readiness and traceability.
  • Lead root cause investigations and implement sustainable corrective actions for deviations.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field; Master is a plus.
  • 5+ years in food manufacturing QA with leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, FDA/USDA regulations and ISO 22000.
  • Proven auditing experience with GFSI schemes; proficiency in CAPA management.
  • Data driven with proficiency in Excel and ERP systems such as SAP; experience with statistical tools is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, cross functional collaboration, and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Relevant certifications such as HACCP or CQA are a plus.
