Responsibility

  • Coordinate field surveys, timber cruising, silvicultural assessments, and environmental impact reviews.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation; monitor progress and report variances to stakeholders.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance, permit applications, and adherence to HSE standards in all field activities.
  • Collaborate with GIS specialists to develop data-rich maps and analyses supporting decision-making.
  • Engage with clients, Indigenous communities, and partners to communicate findings and manage expectations.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, implement corrective actions, and optimize operational efficiency.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Forestry, Environmental Science, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • 5+ years of forestry project management or field operations experience.
  • Proficiency in GIS (e.g., ArcGIS/QGIS), data analysis, and field data collection methods.
  • Strong knowledge of silviculture, timber cruising, and harvesting regulations in BC.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to travel regularly to field sites and work in diverse weather conditions.
  • Professional certification such as RPF (BC) or equivalent is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate field equipment as needed.
