Join YTL PowerSeraya as the Head of Maintenance, leading the maintenance function for our state-of-the-art power generation plant. As the senior maintenance leader, you will craft and execute a forward-looking maintenance strategy that balances asset integrity with cost efficiency, while fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
In this role, you will steward preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs, manage a diverse team of engineers, technicians, and contractors, and collaborate closely with Operations, Safety, and Procurement to optimize performance. You will leverage data-driven insights to optimize maintenance KPIs, manage outages, and guide capital planning to extend asset life and maximize plant availability. Your leadership will be essential in maintaining regulatory compliance, SHE standards, and an exceptional safety culture across the facility.

Responsibility
- Develop and execute the maintenance strategy for the power generation plant to maximize reliability and uptime.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers, technicians, and contractors; ensure competency development and succession planning.
- Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs; monitor KPIs such as MTBF, MTTR, and OEE.
- Drive asset integrity and safety, ensuring compliance with local regulations, LOTO, permit to work, and SHE policies.
- Manage maintenance budgets, procurement, spare parts inventory, and contractor performance to optimize costs and performance.
- Lead root cause analysis investigations and implement durable improvements to reduce recurrence of faults.
- Coordinate with operations to plan outages, improve reliability, and minimize plant downtime during maintenance activities.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and high performance across the maintenance function.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 15+ years of maintenance leadership experience in large-scale energy generation or industrial facilities, including at least 5 years in a senior management role.
- Proven track record in asset management, reliability-centered maintenance, and safety compliance in a multi-unit plant.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, SHE leadership, and incident investigation; experience with CMMS (e.g., SAP PM).
- Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and budgeting skills; ability to drive cross-functional teams.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable improvements; strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
