Cybalink Solutions is actively seeking a Senior Planning Engineer (Electrical) to lead scheduling, Primavera P6 planning, and delay analysis for high-profile oil & gas and industrial projects. In this pivotal role, you will own the development and maintenance of integrated master schedules, coordinate multi-discipline planning, and provide data-driven insights to safeguard project timelines and budget targets.
As a Senior Planning Engineer, you will collaborate with project controls, engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure realistic baselines, robust resource loading, and clear critical path visibility. You will interpret design changes, assess schedule impacts, and deliver weekly and monthly progress updates for stakeholders. Responsibility
- Lead the development, maintenance, and integration of Primavera P6 schedules for electrical and multi-discipline projects.
- Perform critical path method analysis, schedule risk analysis, and delay/impact assessments with actionable recommendations.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to collect progress updates and ensure accurate reporting.
- Manage resource loading, leveling, and schedule optimization to improve efficiency and avoid bottlenecks.
- Prepare and present weekly and monthly schedule updates, dashboards, and executive reports for stakeholders.
- Manage design changes and field adjustments, assessing schedule impact and updating baselines accordingly.
- Support project controls and cost forecasting by aligning schedule with budget and cash flow projections.
- Mentor and coach junior planners, sharing best practices in scheduling tools and project controls.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in project planning and scheduling, preferably for oil & gas, petrochemical, or heavy-industrial projects.
- Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6; experience with other scheduling tools is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to perform delay analysis and communicate findings clearly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; capable of presenting to cross-functional and executive stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of electrical systems and industrial construction practices, including safety and quality standards.
- Experience with project controls, risk management, and reporting for large-scale projects; PMI-SP or related certification is a plus.
- Proactive, collaborative mindset and ability to work in a dynamic, multi-project environment.
