Responsibility

  • Conduct time studies, capacity planning, and line balancing to optimize production throughput.
  • Develop and implement lean manufacturing initiatives (5S, value stream mapping, Kaizen) to reduce waste and improve quality.
  • Design and optimize layouts for new lines and existing processes using CAD tools and simulations.
  • Lead root cause analysis and problem solving using DMAIC methodology and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with supply chain, production, and quality teams to establish standardized work and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Monitor production performance, generate actionable reports, and drive continuous improvement projects.
  • Support equipment validation, maintenance planning, and change control in manufacturing processes.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or process optimization; experience in high-mix/low-volume or high-volume environments is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt preferred), DMAIC, and structured problem solving.
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools (Excel, Minitab, JMP) and ERP/MES systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Experience with process simulation, time studies, line balancing, and capacity planning.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills; ability to lead projects and present findings to leadership.
  • Knowledge of CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for process and layout design is a plus.
