Job description

Join Lone Star Manufacturing Solutions as an Industrial Engineer and drive operational excellence across our Houston-based production facilities. You will balance people, processes, and technology to deliver measurable gains in productivity, quality, and safety for our high-volume manufacturing lines.

We value data-driven problem solvers who can partner with manufacturing, quality, maintenance, and supply chain to design, implement, and sustain robust process improvements using Lean, Six Sigma, and digital tooling.

Responsibility

  • Lead and manage process improvement projects to reduce cycle time, improve yield, and minimize waste using Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Develop and optimize capacity planning, line balance, and work cell design to maximize throughput and reduce bottlenecks.
  • Conduct time and motion studies, standardize work procedures, and create detailed standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Analyze production data to identify root causes of defects or downtime and implement preventive actions.
  • Lead DOE and experimentation to test new processes, equipment, or layouts with measurable ROI.
  • Collaborate with IT and operations to deploy MES/ERP enhancements and data visualization tools for real-time performance monitoring.
  • Support continuous improvement culture by training teams on problem-solving, 5S, and standard work practices.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field; master’s preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or logistics with a track record of delivering measurable improvement.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, value stream mapping, and statistical analysis (e.g., DOE, SPC).
  • Proficiency with data tools (Excel, SQL, Python/R) and experience with ERP/MES systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10-15% as needed.
