At HarborEdge Manufacturing, we are expanding our industrial production team in Houston, TX. We are seeking a results-driven Industrial Production Engineer to optimize end-to-end manufacturing processes, improve throughput, and reduce variability across production lines.
In this role you will partner with operations, maintenance, quality, and supply chain to drive continuous improvement initiatives that deliver measurable business impact and ensure safe, compliant operations.

Responsibility
- Lead and execute process improvement projects across assembly lines, machining, and packaging to improve throughput and reduce cycle times.
- Perform time studies, line balancing, capacity planning, and bottleneck analysis to optimize production flows.
- Develop standardized work, SOPs, and visual management systems to sustain gains and improve onboarding for new operators.
- Collaborate with maintenance to implement TPM, root cause analysis, and preventive maintenance programs for equipment reliability.
- Monitor key performance indicators (OEE, yield, scrap, downtime) and drive corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
- Lead safety initiatives and ergonomic assessments to ensure compliant and risk-aware operations.
- Coach and mentor shop-floor teams, delivering training on lean techniques, problem solving, and data-driven decision making.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Quality Engineering or a closely related field.
- 3+ years of manufacturing/industrial production experience with strong Lean and Six Sigma foundations (Green Belt or higher preferred).
- Proficiency with data analysis tools (Excel, Minitab, Tableau) and ERP systems (SAP or Oracle).
- Experience with PLCs, automation, automated inspection, and process control systems; familiarity with TPM and quality systems (ISO 9001).
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills; proven ability to lead cross-functional projects.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to shifting production demands.
- Commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous learning; comfortable working with shop-floor teams and shift schedules.
