Job description

Join a leading manufacturer in Munich, Germany, and drive impact across industrial production operations. We are seeking a skilled Industrial Production Engineer to optimize line throughput, reduce waste, and elevate quality and safety across the plant floor.

In this role, you will partner with manufacturing, maintenance, quality, and supply chain teams to translate data into actionable improvements, design efficient workflows, and implement lean and digital solutions that unlock significant productivity gains.

What you will do: lead continuous improvement projects, analyze production metrics, develop standard work, support CAPEX projects, drive safety and compliance, and mentor operators and technicians.

Responsibility

  • Analyze line performance data and identify bottlenecks to improve takt time and overall throughput.
  • Lead Kaizen events and continuous improvement projects across manufacturing cells.
  • Develop and implement standardized work instructions, SOPs, and visual management.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance and Engineering to maximize equipment uptime (OEE) and reliability.
  • Drive small-scale automation, digital tooling, and data visualization projects (MES, SPC).
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations; promote 5S and lean housekeeping.
  • Mentor operators, technicians, and team leads to sustain improvements and knowledge transfer.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing/production engineering or a similar role.
  • Strong Lean, Six Sigma, and problem-solving skills (A3, DMAIC).
  • Proficient in data analysis tools (Excel, Minitab) and manufacturing systems (ERP/MES, preferably SAP).
  • Working knowledge of automation concepts, PLCs, and maintenance strategies.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration; fluent in German and English.
