As a core member of the Operations team, you will own end-to-end production processes, partner with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain, and drive data-driven improvements that deliver measurable impact on safety, quality, and throughput.

Responsibility
- Lead the design, optimization, and standardization of end-to-end production processes for assigned lines, ensuring safety, quality, and consistency.
- Define and monitor KPIs (OEE, yield, scrap, downtime) and drive continuous improvement initiatives to meet targets.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to resolve process bottlenecks and implement robust corrective actions.
- Lead root cause analysis using structured problem-solving (5 Whys, Ishikawa) and implement effective countermeasures in a timely manner.
- Develop, validate, and maintain standard operating procedures, work instructions, and training materials to support standardized work.
- Plan and manage capital projects, equipment upgrades, and line expansions, including risk assessments and ROI analyses.
- Mentor and train operators and junior engineers to build a high-performing, safety-first culture.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in an industrial production/manufacturing environment, preferably in a high-mix, high-volume setting.
- Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma (Black Belt or CSSGB preferred), and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP or Oracle) and MES; proficiency in data analytics tools (Excel, Power BI, or Tableau) is a plus.
- Proficiency with process automation, PLCs, sensors, and basic control systems; familiarity with TPM and preventive maintenance.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills; ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- U.S. work authorization; ability to work on-site in Chicago, IL; willingness to accommodate shift requirements as needed.
