Join ForgeLine Manufacturing Solutions, a leading provider of precision components for automotive and industrial sectors. We are seeking a proactive Industrial Production Engineer to drive operational excellence across assembly, machining, and finishing lines in our Chicago campus.
You will mentor cross functional teams, optimize processes, and deploy lean and data driven improvements that reduce waste and boost throughput while maintaining exceptional quality and safety standards.
Responsibility
- Lead production planning and line balancing to maximize OEE across multiple shifts.
- Analyze bottlenecks and implement rapid improvements using lean, Six Sigma, and kaizen methodologies.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and maintenance to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable operations.
- Develop and manage process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
- Lead equipment start up, commissioning, and changes to support new programs.
- Monitor key metrics, generate data driven insights, and present findings to leadership.
Qualification
- Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline.
- 5+ years in manufacturing or industrial production environment with proficiency in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
- Strong knowledge of process mapping, line balancing, and capacity planning.
- Experience with PLCs, MES/ERP systems, and data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Tableau).
- Excellent communication, cross functional collaboration, and project management skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
