Responsibility
- Advise clients on patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret issues.
- Draft, review, and negotiate IP licenses and technology transfer agreements.
- Conduct IP due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and investments.
- Oversee, manage, and prosecute patent and trademark portfolios domestically and internationally.
- Collaborate with R&D, business, and legal teams to identify and secure new IP assets.
- Provide strategic counsel regarding IP risk management and enforcement strategies.
- Represent clients in IP litigation and dispute resolution, including pre-litigation analysis.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments impacting intellectual property.
Qualification
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to the New York Bar (or eligible for admission).
- 5+ years of intellectual property law experience, with expertise in patents and trademarks.
- Proven track record in managing global IP portfolios.
- Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to translate technical concepts to legal strategies.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and client management skills.
- Experience with IP litigation, enforcement, or regulatory compliance.
