As a Japanese Interpreter / Translator, you will play a vital role in facilitating clear communication between Japanese and non-Japanese employees, ensuring smooth business operations and the accurate conveyance of essential information. You will support various departments through both verbal and written translation, contributing to important meetings, training sessions, and documentation processes.

Responsibility
- Interpret spoken Japanese to English (and vice versa) during meetings, presentations, and training sessions.
- Translate business documents, emails, reports, and technical manuals with precision and attention to detail.
- Assist Japanese expatriates and guests in communicating with local staff and stakeholders.
- Support HR and administrative teams in onboarding, orientation, and cross-cultural training activities.
- Facilitate communication during site visits, inspections, and factory floor briefings.
- Provide immediate, on-the-spot interpretation as needed in both formal and informal settings.
- Ensure all translations maintain confidentiality and accurately represent intent, tone, and content.
- Proactively identify and resolve communication challenges to promote understanding and teamwork.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Japanese Language, Linguistics, Communication, or related field preferred.
- Professional proficiency in both Japanese and English (speaking, reading, writing).
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Japanese Interpreter / Translator in a corporate or industrial setting.
- JLPT N2 or higher certification highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of business and technical vocabulary in both languages.
- Excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and strict adherence to confidentiality standards.
