We are seeking a seasoned pastry professional who can balance artistry with operational excellence to deliver premium pastries and desserts that delight our guests while maximizing bakery profitability.
Responsibility
- Lead daily baking operations, ensuring product quality and consistency across all pastry items.
- Develop and execute seasonal pastry menus from concept to tasting, incorporating feedback from guests and sales data.
- Manage production schedules, inventory, and procurement of high quality ingredients.
- Train and mentor junior bakers, decorators, and kitchen staff to elevate skills and maintain standards.
- Enforce food safety, sanitation, and HACCP procedures in compliance with local regulations.
- Collaborate with front of house to ensure exceptional guest experiences and timely service.
- Monitor waste, yield, and costs, implementing strategies to optimize profitability.
- Oversee equipment maintenance and safety to minimize downtime and extend asset life.
Qualification
- 5+ years of professional pastry or bakery experience with leadership responsibilities.
- Formal culinary or pastry training; degree or certificate preferred.
- Expertise in laminated doughs, viennoiserie, artisan bread, chocolate, and sugar work.
- Strong palate, attention to detail, and creativity with a track record of menu development.
- Proven ability to lead a team in a fast paced bakery environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of food safety and HACCP; ServSafe certification is a plus.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
