Job description
We are seeking a Lead Project Manager to join our fast-growing technology team in Toronto. You will own the end-to-end delivery of strategic initiatives, collaborate with product, engineering, and design, and drive projects to successful, on-time outcomes.
In this role, you will translate business goals into actionable plans, align stakeholders, manage budgets, and implement governance processes that ensure quality and value realization.
Responsibility
- Lead planning and execution of multiple projects from initiation through closure, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Design to define scope, success metrics, and acceptance criteria.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, risk registers, and change control processes.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, manage dependencies, and facilitate effective communication with stakeholders at all levels.
- Monitor progress, mitigate risks, resolve issues, and provide accurate status reporting to executive leadership.
- Ensure governance, quality standards, and compliance across all project activities.
- Mentor and coach junior project managers and promote best practices in project management.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field; PMP, PgMP, or comparable certification preferred; or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of project management experience in technology, software, or digital initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of PM methodologies (A gile, Scrum, Waterfall) and hybrid approaches.
- Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Jira, Confluence, Asana) and data-driven reporting.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functionally.
- Demonstrated track record delivering complex programs on time and within budget, with measurable outcomes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills; comfortable leading without direct authority.
