Responsibility
- Design, deliver, and continuously improve high-quality courses across undergraduate and graduate programs.
- Implement inclusive teaching practices and varied assessment methods to support diverse learners.
- Provide timely feedback, academic advising, and supervision of student projects and theses.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and assess curriculum, learning outcomes, and program accreditation standards.
- Engage in scholarly activity or professional practice, and share findings with the department and broader community.
- Contribute to service duties, committees, and outreach activities that enhance the academic mission.
- Utilize educational technology and data-informed approaches to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
- Participate in curriculum reviews, faculty development, and mentorship programs.
Qualification
- Terminal degree in relevant field or substantial professional experience; PhD preferred for many disciplines.
- Demonstrated excellence in college-level teaching and student mentorship.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with inclusive pedagogy, accessibility standards, and diverse classroom management.
- Familiarity with learning management systems (Canvas, Blackboard) and educational technology tools.
- Ability to design and update courses, assessments, and learning outcomes aligned with program goals.
- Ability to collaborate with faculty across departments and contribute to scholarly activity.
- Commitment to student success, equity, and service to the campus community.
