Responsibility
- Design and deliver high-quality undergraduate courses in Computer Science (e.g., programming, data structures, algorithms).
- Create inclusive curricula and diverse assessment strategies aligned with program learning outcomes.
- Provide timely, constructive feedback and academic advising to students.
- Utilize active learning, technology-enhanced instruction, and LMS tools to support student success.
- Participate in course assessment, accreditation activities, and program evaluation.
- Collaborate with faculty for curriculum development, guest lectures, and cross-disciplinary initiatives.
- Contribute to departmental service, committee work, and outreach initiatives.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and stay current with industry and academic trends.
Qualification
- Terminal degree in Computer Science or a closely related field; PhD preferred, Master’s degree with substantial professional experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 2 years of higher education teaching experience or equivalent professional instruction.
- Proven ability to teach core CS courses and introductory programming at the undergraduate level.
- Strong written and verbal communication, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to inclusive teaching practices and supporting a diverse student body.
- Experience with learning management systems (Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle) and evidence-based teaching methods.
- Ability to collaborate across departments and contribute to a positive campus culture.
