Cambridge Institute of Technology is seeking a dynamic Lecturer in Computer Science to join our School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Responsibility
- Plan and deliver engaging lectures, laboratories, and seminars for undergraduate and graduate Computer Science courses.
- Develop and update course materials, assessments, and rubrics aligned with program outcomes.
- Mentor and advise students, supervise capstone projects, and provide timely feedback.
- Lead curriculum development and participate in program assessment and accreditation activities.
- Collaborate with faculty on research projects and interdisciplinary initiatives.
- Contribute to diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts within the department and classroom.
- Participate in service duties including committee work, student advising, and campus outreach.
Qualification
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a closely related field; doctoral candidates considered with substantial teaching experience.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the university level; experience with active learning and inclusive pedagogy.
- Strong knowledge of core CS topics (algorithms, data structures, software engineering, systems, AI and machine learning).
- Experience with online/hybrid course delivery and learning management systems (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
- Evidence of scholarly activity or professional practice (publications, grants, or industry collaboration).
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in teaching and mentoring.
