Join ZTE Corporation, a global leader in telecommunications equipment and network solutions, as a Legal Assistant in Jakarta Selatan. This role supports the Legal Team in maintaining compliance with Indonesian laws and regulations, including business licensing, data privacy, contract governance, and corporate record-keeping. You will be a vital part of a cross-functional team that ensures regulatory readiness for day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will span regulatory monitoring, license management, document control, contract administration, and support for governance activities. You will help track changes in Indonesian regulatory requirements, prepare registrations and renewals, manage filing systems for corporate documents, and assist with the drafting and review of supplier and vendor agreements to ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
To be successful, you should be organized, proactive, and able to work with discretion on sensitive information. Strong written and verbal communication in Indonesian, with business-level English, will help you collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners. A foundational understanding of Indonesian corporate law and licensing processes will enable you to contribute from day one and grow with the team.

Responsibility
- Support day-to-day legal operations, including document management and filing.
- Monitor and interpret Indonesian laws and regulations affecting the business; track changes and implications.
- Assist with business licensing, registrations, permits, and license renewals to ensure timely compliance.
- Draft, review, and organize contracts, vendor agreements, and other legal documents.
- Maintain and organize corporate records, board materials, and governance documentation.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external counsel to facilitate timely legal reviews.
- Support regulatory audits, risk assessments, and compliance remediation actions as needed.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Studies, or a related field; paralegal certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of Indonesian laws related to corporate licensing and compliance.
- 1-3 years of experience in a corporate legal, paralegal, or compliance role (entry-level candidates considered).
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, document management tools, and basic understanding of contract management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in Indonesian; business-level English preferred.
- High ethical standards, integrity, and ability to handle sensitive information.
