Huayu KJ Supply & Leasing Corp is seeking a results-oriented Legal Counsel to join our team in Bonifacio Global City, Metro Manila. This role provides strategic legal guidance for a growing equipment supply and leasing business. You will partner with executive leadership to support corporate governance, contract management, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation to enable responsible growth and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in corporate and commercial law, exceptional negotiation skills, and a proactive approach to translating complex legal concepts into practical business solutions.
In this role you will:
- Provide timely, practical legal advice to executives and internal teams on commercial agreements, procurement, leasing, and operations.
- Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, service agreements, vendor terms, and licensing arrangements to protect company interests and minimize risk.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Philippine laws and regulations, including corporate governance, data privacy, labor, and regulatory reporting.
- Identify and manage legal risks in business initiatives, contracts, and new markets; develop risk mitigation strategies and escalation processes.
- Oversee litigation and disputes with external counsel; monitor case progress and communicate updates to management.
- Develop and maintain company policies, standard operating procedures, and contract templates to streamline operations.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely decisions and alignment with business objectives.

Responsibility

Qualification
- Graduate of a reputable law school with a valid Philippine Bar admission.
- Minimum 4-6 years of post-qualification experience in corporate/commercial law, preferably in equipment leasing, finance, or related industries.
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of Philippine regulatory frameworks (corporate law, data privacy, labor law, competition law).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presenting abilities; fluent in English; proficiency in Filipino is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment; high integrity and discretion.
- Proficiency with legal research tools and MS Office; experience with contract management systems is a plus.
