Responsibility
- Provide research assistance and knowledgeable reference services to students, faculty, and external researchers.
- Lead information literacy instruction sessions and develop learning materials for diverse audiences.
- Catalog and classify materials using standard practices (MARC, RDA, and Dublin Core).
- Curate and manage digital archives and special collections, ensuring accessibility and preservation.
- Support collection development and ongoing assessment to align with curricular and research needs.
- Maintain and enhance discovery layers and library systems for optimal user experience.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff on scholarly communication initiatives and outreach programs.
Qualification
- Master of Library Science (MLS/MLIS) from an ALA-accredited program.
- Minimum 2 years of related experience in an academic library setting.
- Proficiency with cataloging standards (MARC, RDA) and metadata schemas (Dublin Core, MODS).
- Experience with digital collections, archives management, and metadata management.
- Strong information literacy instruction and user education skills.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service abilities.
- Familiarity with library systems (e.g., Alma/Primo, Sierra, or similar), and basic knowledge of data privacy and accessibility standards.
