Responsibility
- Provide reference and research assistance to patrons across multiple formats (print, online, and digital resources).
- Develop and manage the library's collections, including selection, deselection, weeding, and metadata-driven cataloging.
- Plan and deliver information literacy instruction and research-skills workshops for students and staff.
- Collaborate with academic departments to support teaching, learning, and research outcomes.
- Manage library services, including circulation, acquisitions, cataloging, and interlibrary loan.
- Implement and promote digital resources, discovery layers, and assistive technologies for accessibility.
- Participate in outreach, programming, and community engagement; contribute to assessment and reporting.
Qualification
- Master's in Library Science (MLIS) or equivalent.
- 3+ years of professional library experience, preferably in academic or research libraries.
- Strong knowledge of cataloging standards (RDA, MARC, LCC) and metadata practices.
- Experience with ILS and discovery tools (e.g., Ex Libris Alma/Primo, WorldShare, or similar).
- Proven ability to teach information literacy and research skills to diverse audiences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, and strong customer service mindset.
- Familiarity with digital libraries, institutional repositories, and eresource management.
