Responsibility
- Provide reference and information services to patrons, including research assistance and instruction.
- Develop, organize, and evaluate physical and digital collections to meet community needs.
- Plan, design, and deliver information literacy workshops and program outreach.
- Collaborate with students, researchers, and community partners to support learning goals.
- Supervise circulation activities and uphold library policies with a customer-first approach.
- Manage metadata, cataloging, and classification using the library's LMS and standards such as MARC and RDA.
- Contribute to digital initiatives, including digitization projects and digital repositories.
- Analyze usage metrics to inform collection development and service improvements.
Qualification
- Masterβs degree in Library Science (MLS/MLIS) from an ALA-accredited program.
- Minimum 2 years of professional library experience; public services preferred.
- Strong reference, research, and information literacy instruction skills.
- Familiarity with cataloging standards (MARC, RDA) and library management systems.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed for programs and services.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in library services.
- Experience with digital collections and data privacy.
