Seattle Public Library seeks a dynamic Librarian to lead digital services and cataloging initiatives. The successful candidate will manage metadata workflows for physical and digital collections, ensure high quality records, and partner with staff to deliver exceptional reference service.

Responsibility
- Lead cataloging and metadata creation for physical and digital collections using MARC and RDA standards
- Manage bibliographic records quality and authority control
- Deliver reference and information services to patrons in person and online
- Develop and maintain digital collections, institutional repositories, and e resources
- Collaborate with selectors and librarians on collection development and deselection
- Maintain and improve library discovery systems and ILS workflows
- Plan and deliver information literacy instruction and outreach programs
- Supervise library assistants and volunteers and contribute to departmental initiatives
Qualification
- MLIS or MLS from an ALA accredited program or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of cataloging standards MARC RDA LCC
- Experience with ILS and metadata management
- Proven customer service and information literacy instruction experience
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team with attention to detail
- Experience with digital archives and preservation a plus
- Legal right to work in the United States and ability to work evenings/weekends as required
