Responsibility
- Provide evidence-based, full-scope midwifery care to assigned clients across pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum.
- Conduct comprehensive prenatal assessments, screenings, and create individualized care plans.
- Manage intrapartum care and labor support, ensuring safe and empowering birth experiences.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and transitions as needed.
- Counsel clients on nutrition, family planning, lactation, and newborn care to support informed decisions.
- Maintain meticulous documentation, comply with regulatory standards, and ensure continuity of care.
- Educate patients about birth options, informed consent, and respectful, patient-centered care.
Qualification
- Current US CNM license and eligibility to practice midwifery in Washington state.
- Minimum 3 years of midwifery experience in hospital or birth center settings.
- Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Strong commitment to culturally competent care and serving diverse communities.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and clinical decision-making skills.
- Experience with electronic medical records and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing or Midwifery from an accredited program.
