MapleBridge Translations is seeking a skilled Localization Specialist to join our Toronto-based team. We deliver high-quality English-French localization for tech, legal, and marketing content.
As a translator and localization expert, you will collaborate with project managers, editors, and language specialists to ensure linguistic accuracy, cultural relevance, and consistency across all deliverables.

Responsibility
- Translate documents from source languages into targeted languages with high accuracy and cultural nuance.
- Localize content for target markets, ensuring terminology consistency using CAT tools.
- Review and edit translations produced by other linguists for quality and style.
- Coordinate with project managers to meet deadlines and scope requirements.
- Maintain glossaries and terminology databases; contribute to style guides.
- Perform QA checks, ensuring formatting and metadata are preserved.
- Adhere to client guidelines and industry standards (ISO 17100, etc.).
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or related field; or 3+ years of professional translation experience.
- Native-level proficiency in English and French (or another target language) with strong writing skills.
- Proficiency in CAT tools (e.g., SDL Trados Studio, memoQ, Wordfast).
- Experience with localization workflows, QA processes, and glossary management.
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with terminology management systems and style guides.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Portfolio of translation samples or test translation upon request.
