We are seeking a reliable Machine Operator to join our production team in Shah Alam, covering areas such as Bukit Raja and Bandar Sultan Sulaiman. You will operate and monitor machinery on the production line, ensuring efficient processing of steel coils and bars while meeting strict quality and safety standards. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to work with modern equipment in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for setting up machines, adjusting parameters, loading raw materials, inspecting finished products, recording production data, and performing routine maintenance and cleaning. Responsibility
- Operate and monitor production line machinery to process steel products (flat and long) per batch specifications.
- Set up machines, adjust speeds, temperatures, feeds, and tooling; ensure correct materials are loaded.
- Conduct in-process quality checks; inspect dimensions, surface finish, and packaging; document results.
- Maintain accurate production records; report downtime and product non-conformities.
- Perform routine machine cleaning, lubrication, and preventive maintenance; coordinate with maintenance team.
- Adhere to safety protocols; use PPE; participate in safety briefings; maintain clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets and ensure on-time delivery.
- Assist with material handling and changeovers to maximize line efficiency.
Qualification
- Diploma or certificate in manufacturing, mechanical, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience as a machine operator or in a manufacturing environment, preferably in steel or metal processing.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with reading drawings and process specifications.
- Ability to perform basic quality checks and measurements; strong attention to detail.
- Strong safety mindset; familiar with PPE and safe operating procedures.
- Good communication skills in English and Malay; able to follow instructions and work in a team.
- Willingness to work night shifts or rotating shifts if required by production schedule.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift light to moderate materials as required.
