MSIG invites you to join our Technical Services leadership team in Singapore. In this pivotal role, you will partner with Managing General Agents to ensure all MGA related business is conducted prudently, efficiently, and in full regulatory compliance. You will be at the forefront of underwriting support, operational governance, and service excellence, helping MGAs scale their business while protecting policyholders and the MSIG brand.
As Manager or Assistant Manager of Technical Services, you will oversee cross functional collaboration with Underwriting, Claims, Finance and Risk, translating strategic goals into practical processes, controls, and performance metrics. You will drive risk aware decision making, implement robust criteria for policy administration, and champion continuous improvement across policy issuance, data reporting, and client service. You will also monitor key performance indicators, manage vendor relationships, and contribute to renewal and product development initiatives to support profitable growth.

Responsibility
- Lead and coordinate technical services for MGA channels, ensuring governance, underwriting prudence, and policy compliance.
- Collaborate with MGAs to develop and implement underwriting guidelines, risk controls, and pricing strategies.
- Monitor performance metrics, conduct risk assessments, and ensure regulatory compliance with MAS and insurance standards.
- Manage stakeholder relationships across internal teams and external partners, including brokers and MGAs.
- Drive process improvements in policy administration, claims handling, and data reporting.
- Support renewal and new business initiatives, overseeing documentation, workflow, and service level agreements.
- Prepare management reporting, budgets, and headcount planning; contribute to strategic planning and resource optimization.
- Mentor and supervise junior analysts to ensure quality and efficiency of technical services.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in insurance operations, MGA management, or technical services in Singapore or the region.
- Strong knowledge of underwriting, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance with MAS standards.
- Experience in vendor management, stakeholder management, and project management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to influence outcomes.
- Proficiency in data analytics, reporting, and experience with policy administration and claims systems.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Leadership or people management experience is a plus.
