MSIG invites you to join our Singapore team as a Manager / Assistant Manager, Technical Services. In this role, you will oversee technical support and governance for Managing General Agents (MGAs), ensuring underwriting prudence, accurate policy administration, and efficient operating controls. You will collaborate with Distribution, Risk, Product, and Compliance teams to deliver superior service to our MGA partners and customers. This position blends strategic oversight with hands-on execution, requiring strong knowledge of insurance products, regulatory requirements, and data-driven decision making. You will influence cross-functional teams, mentor junior staff, and contribute to MSIG's mission of delivering financial resilience and exceptional customer outcomes.

Responsibility
- Lead and coordinate technical services for MGA relationships to ensure accurate policy issuance, underwriting support, and adherence to governance standards.
- Manage underwriting guidelines, rating rules, product documentation, and policy administration; maintain up-to-date SOPs and reference materials.
- Collaborate with Underwriting, Claims, Operations, and IT to resolve technical issues, provide training to MGA partners, and drive service excellence.
- Develop and maintain robust data reporting, dashboards, and SLA tracking to monitor performance, risk indicators, and capacity planning.
- Ensure regulatory governance and audit readiness; implement controls to protect policyholders and MSIG; manage data privacy and security requirements.
- Drive process improvements and technology enablement, including system enhancements, data analytics, and automation initiatives; partner with IT and vendors.
- Support business growth through pricing input, product development insights, market intelligence, and cross-functional project leadership.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, manage workloads, and foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field; professional qualifications such as ACII, FLMI, or CFA are a plus.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in insurance technical services, MGA relationship management, or underwriting support.
- Strong knowledge of underwriting guidelines, product development, policy administration, and regulatory requirements applicable to Singapore.
- Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills; proficient in Excel and experience with SQL or a BI tool for reporting.
- Customer-focused with strong communication and stakeholder management abilities; able to influence cross-functional teams.
- Leadership and people-management skills; demonstrated ability to mentor, train, and develop staff while managing competing priorities.
