Job description

NexaMach Industries is a leading manufacturer of precision components for the automotive and industrial sectors. We are seeking a results-driven Manufacturing Engineer to optimize production processes, improve product quality, and drive cost reductions across our Detroit plant.

In this role you will collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, and design teams to implement lean initiatives, standardized work, and robust control plans. You will turn data into action by analyzing key metrics, leading root cause investigations, and delivering measurable improvements.

Responsibility

  • Lead process improvement projects to reduce cycle times and waste using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to implement standardized work and SOPs.
  • Analyze production data and implement control plans to sustain improved performance.
  • Design and optimize line layouts, workstations, and material flow to increase throughput.
  • Manage capital projects from justification to implementation, including equipment upgrades and TPM initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards and support ISO 9001.

Qualification

  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience in automotive or metal fabrication environments
  • Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma; Green Belt or higher preferred
  • Proficiency with CAD tools and process simulation; experience with MES/ERP (SAP preferred)
  • Data analysis skills and ability to create actionable insights; strong Excel/ dashboards
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills; ability to work in a fast-paced plant
